Poster Contest for Teens and Young Adults in Hidalgo County
It’s no secret that we all do better when we are working together with the common purpose of helping each other.
Calling all teens and young adults ages 13-25 residing in Hidalgo County, Texas. Want to help your community AND put your creativity on display? Create a digital poster to encourage and promote awareness and increase support, understanding, and resources for Latino suicide loss survivors.
You will have a chance to win prizes and see your poster on display at our events, on our website, social media platforms, and future marketing and print materials.

Basic Information
Eligibility
The contest is open to all high school students in Hidalgo County, Texas. All entries should be submitted on an individual basis. No shared work is allowed.
Entry Limit
Up to two posters per student.
Entry Deadline & Info
Entries must be submitted to Elizabeth Coplan at elizabethcoplan@gmail.com by Sunday, August 15, 2021, 11:59 PM. Include your name, age, grade, and school in the body of your email. Subject line: Better Together Poster Entry
Winners
First, second and third place winners will be chosen by a panel of Grief Dialogues Health Care Education judges and announced by September 1, 2021.
Prizes
First Prize $100
Second Prize $50
Third Prize $25
The winning poster design will be reproduced for the official Better Together website and on social media channels.
Digital Poster & Submissions Format
- Must not exceed 20×16 inches.
- Must be at least 300DPI.
- Submitted in .PDF file format.
- File name must include your last name and first initial.
- Must be original student entrant work.
- Depict the Better Together theme of this awareness campaign and include the words: Juntos Nos Ayudamos/Better Together
- A small credit line with the student’s name is allowed.
- No offensive or illegal content.
- No copyrighted, trademarked or branded marks or logos.
The Fine Print
Contest is offered by Grief Dialogues Health Care Education (GDHCE). To learn more about Better Together, the contest and GDHCE, visit our website. Except as used by GDHCE, all artists, including the winners, will retain the rights to their work. Entry in the contest constitutes full permission to publish names and photos of winners without further compensation. The determination of eligibility of entries and any interpretation of these rules is at the sole discretion of the GDHCE, and shall be final and binding upon all entrants. By participating, the entrant agrees to abide by and be bound by these rules.
